Based in Melbourne, and born from a love of the fantastical, with a desire for creating beautiful things that will bring a little bit of fantasy into your reality, Custom Creations by Anntoinette designs one off handcrafted couture and bespoke ensembles for events, special occasions and simply for fun; making pieces to fit the individual rather than the mannequin.
With hand-embellished and dreamy concoctions of silks and natural fabrics, trimmed in an assortment of pearls, crystals and lace, you are sure to have the perfect outfit created to fit your needs, and have it accessorised with individually designed hats, jewellery and other accessories, created using materials and techniques such as; wire-work, feathers, hand moulded thermoplastics, and leather.
The inspiration for Custom Creations designs are drawn from both abstract and literal sources. Looking to music, mythology, nature and art with a helping of dragons, faeries, magic and the impossible to incorporate into their designs. Influenced by Christian Dior’s full skirts and hourglass silhouettes of the 40s and 50s, Custom Creations combines historical and period dress, both with elements of fantasy and a sense of modern day practicality to create a fun and unique style.
Designer, Maker and Milliner, Anntoinette has been creating from a young age, and after training in both Fashion Design and Millinery at the Kangan Institute's Centre of Fashion in Richmond, started her own business in 2013 through the governments NEIS program.
With a quirky Fantasy meets Renaissance feel and a touch of old-world glamour, Custom Creations by Anntoinette truly brings a little bit of fantasy into your reality.
